The influenza vaccine 24/25 is now available.
Vaccination for travelers to Mpox outbreak areas is currently not recommended (for more information see RKI website). The Munich Tropical Institute therefore does not currently offer the vaccination.

Vaccination for travelers to Mpox outbreak areas is currently not recommended (for more information see RKI website). The Munich Tropical Institute therefore does not currently offer the vaccination. In the event of any changes, we will inform you immediately on this website. We ask for your understanding to refrain from inquiries (by telephone, e-mail).Are you planning a trip, need travel and vaccination advice and would like to be vaccinated if necessary? Our medical team with its expertise in tropical medicine, infectiology and travel medicine will be happy to assist you. Arrange your individual or group appointment via our online booking system. This is a consultation and, if necessary, also a vaccination appointment. We offer specific vaccination and consultation services, for example for yellow fever, rabies (if available), typhoid, hepatitis A/B vaccination or dengue fever. All vaccinations offered (if available) can be found in our price list.
Please note that all available dates are displayed in the booking system. Appointments that become free are immediately visible again. If you book the "Initial travel consultation" appointment, this may also be your first vaccination appointment. The times for travel and vaccination consultations differ from the outpatient clinic times.

With your booking, you confirm that you have read our instructions (e.g. required documents, costs, etc.) before your appointment at the outpatient clinic. These can be found under"Checklist for travel and vaccination consultations".
- If you have acute symptoms (fever after a stay in the tropics or bloody diarrhea), you can book your appointment online (see button: Online appointment booking). If no appointment is available within 24 hours, please contact our outpatient clinic directly:

- Outside our opening hours and at weekends, please contact the Central Emergency Department of the LMU Clinic on the City Center Campus (Ziemssenstrasse 5, phone: 089 4400 31100) in the event of an emergency. Our tropical medicine background service is always available if necessary.

Your visit to the outpatient clinic
Checklist for travel and vaccination consultations
- Here you can find the Price list for travel and vaccination advice.
- Payment is only possible by EC card or credit card (except American Express).
- Travel medical advice, travel vaccinations and medication for malaria prophylaxis are not covered by health insurance and cannot be billed via the electronic health card. However, the costs are reimbursed in full or in part by some health insurance companies as voluntary benefits. Please enquire before which services are covered by your health insurance before your consultation.
- In the case of work-related travel, the employer usually bears the costs (G35 assumption of costs by the sender/employer). We recommend that you clarify this with your employer in advance. In this case, please bring a certificate of cost coverage with you.
- The Institute of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine of the LMU Klinikum assumes no liability for whether and to what extent reimbursement of costs by your health insurance company is possible.
Please wear an FFP2 mask (not a medical mask) in the entire outpatient clinic building (Leopoldstraße 5) if you have cold symptoms.
If you have already received a personal vaccination schedule (yellow vaccination schedule for adults or green vaccination schedule for children) for yourself or your children from a previous appointment at the Tropical Institute, please bring this with you to each follow-up appointment.
- Access to the outpatient clinic of the Tropical Institute is unfortunately not barrier-free and is located at the rear building (parking lot, access via the stairs in the courtyard).
- When you arrive in the waiting room of the outpatient clinic (entrance via stairs in the courtyard), please inform the reception staff that you are there.
- Then fill in the registration form ( travel medical consultation / vaccination) legibly. You will then be called in person. The form can also be filled in electronically in advance (please print out twice for each appointment and bring it with you).
- Please wear an FFP2 mask (not a medical mask) in the entire outpatient clinic building (Leopoldstraße 5) if you have cold symptoms.
