"Honorary StAR" of the DTG for Prof. Dr. Hans Dieter Nothdurft

Award from the Standing Committee for Travel Medicine (StAR)
On behalf of the Standing Committee on Travel Medicine (StAR) of the German Society for Tropical Medicine, Travel Medicine and Global Health (DTG), Dr. med. Camilla Rothe, StAR Chairwoman and Head of the Outpatient Clinic of the Institute for Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at the LMU Clinic, presented the StAR certificate of honor to Prof. Dr. med. Hans Dieter Nothdurft. The certificate was awarded during celebrations at the Munich Tropical Institute.

Prof. Dr. med. Hans Dieter Nothdurft, former deputy head of the outpatient clinic at the Munich Tropical Institute for many years, has made a significant contribution to the further development of tropical and travel medicine in Germany and internationally through his studies and publications. He was the long-standing chairman of the DTG's expert committee on travel medicine, the predecessor of the StAR, and coordinated the annual recommendations on travel vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis for travelers, among other things.
