The CIHLMU Symposium "Global Health Perspectives: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Health Systems Strengthening to Achieve One Health" is a full-day event that serves as a platform for experts, researchers, practitioners and policy makers from around the world to come together and address the pressing issues around the interplay of One Health, health systems and artificial intelligence in different countries. The symposium will include keynote speeches and a plenary discussion among experts on topics related to One Health and AI. The aim is to improve our understanding of the use of AI to strengthen health systems, including its ethical aspects. In particular, the symposium will focus on the following key topics:
- Use of AI for disease surveillance and early warning systems
- AI to optimize healthcare system operations and resource allocation in low-resource settings
- Improving access to healthcare through AI-powered telemedicine and remote monitoring in LMICs
- Using AI to improve efficiency in diagnostics and clinical research
- Ethical and regulatory considerations in the use of AI in healthcare
