Are you traveling and would like to be vaccinated against yellow fever?
We would like to invite you to participate in our yellow fever diagnostic study.
Together with renowned industry partners, we at the Tropical Institute of the LMU Munich Hospital are researching and working on the development and improvement of diagnostics in the field of infectious diseases.
With our current study on the immune response after a yellow fever vaccination, we want to collect clinical data to improve the diagnosis of yellow fever infection.

The study in brief
Note for prospective study participants (23.07.2024)
Recruitment for the group of primary vaccinees for the yellow fever diagnostic study has now been completed.
We are currently looking for volunteers for the booster vaccinations.
Research into the immune response following a yellow fever vaccination as a model for a yellow fever infection.
- A total of 7 visits (for initial vaccination) or 4 visits (for booster vaccination) to the Tropical Institute in 12-14 months
- if you attend all appointments, you will receive at least €350 (for 7 visits) or €150 (for 3 visits)
- In addition, the costs for the vaccination will be covered
- between 18 and 65 years old
- in good health
- not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Indication for yellow fever vaccination due to travel or similar.

Your stored data will then be deleted immediately within the framework of legal regulations. The relevant information about your request will be sent or forwarded to you in unencrypted form at the email address you provided, without providing any information about your health. This poses a risk under data protection law. We will only send requested patient and personal application documents to a reasonable extent by post if you have given your postal address.
