Humanitarian aid and development cooperation
The Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation working group deals with the field of international health through research and teaching. The research work includes operational research, project evaluations, outbreak research, migration research and research on people without access to health care. The members of the working group have extensive work experience in humanitarian projects, e.g. with the organizations Doctors of the World, Doctors without Borders or the Red Cross. In addition, the working group offers various humanitarian NGOs academic-scientific support for humanitarian projects as part of calls for proposals on the subject of "Humanitarian Aid Consultancy". The working group is also responsible for the Humanitarian Symposium Munich (HSM), and is also in charge of the Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation working group of the German Society of Tropical Medicine (DTG).
