Aftercare outpatient clinic for thyroid diseases
Welcome to our aftercare outpatient clinic for thyroid diseases:
Qualified, interdisciplinary follow-up care for thyroid cancer is an essential component for a good prognosis in addition to treatment.
We offer the following basic examinations as part of aftercare:
1. sonography of the soft tissues of the neck,
2. measurement of the tumor marker thyroglobulin (under hormone medication) including anti-thyroglobulin antibodies and thyroglobulin recovery,
3. determination of thyroid function parameters and routine laboratory.
In addition, as a maximum care facility, we offer further diagnostics, e.g. PET/CT, MRI, CT and scintigraphy as well as tumor marker stimulation.
We can also advise you on family planning issues relating to thyroid disease.
Our partners at the LMU Munich Thyroid Center include the Department of Endocrinology Medical Clinic IV, the Clinic and Polyclinic for General, Visceral and Tumor Surgery, the Clinic and Polyclinic for ENT, Radiology and Radiotherapy. The cooperation with these clinics guarantees all diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities. Our aim is to advise you objectively and independently and to find the ideal form of therapy for you.
