research
Our research focuses on the identification, production and evaluation of new tracers for imaging procedures, especially for positron emission tomography (PET). We also focus on the development of modern radiolabeling strategies and process automation on synthesis platforms. Cyclotron nuclides such as 18F, 11C and 64Cu as well as generator nuclides such as 68Ga and 99mTc are directly available for radiolabeling. The Radiopharmacy Center is involved in numerous research projects, including the SyNergy Cluster of Excellence (Munich Cluster for Systems Neurology), the German Center for Dizziness and Balance Disorders (IFB LMU) and numerous DFG and EU-funded research programs, e.g. the Collaborative Research Center SFB 842 and the EU horizon 2020 program iNanoBIT. There are numerous collaborations with industrial partners in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors.
