Psychological aspects of the vaccination decision in general practice (PIA)
GP practice teams play the most important role when it comes to achieving sufficiently high vaccination rates in chronically ill patients!
The biggest obstacles to vaccination include forgetting and uncertainty on the part of patients, which could be eliminated through targeted discussions. Even if patients have informed themselves about recommended vaccinations in advance, they follow the advice of their GP practice staff in 80% of cases. Nevertheless, chronically ill patients in particular are often inadequately vaccinated against influenza and Covid-19.
In order to better understand which psychological aspects influence the vaccination decision in chronically ill patients, we would like to invite your patients to take part in a questionnaire survey.
This is a study specifically for GP practices - the data sovereignty and patient approach remain in your hands!

Aim of the study
Identification of factors influencing the vaccination decision in chronically ill patients. Priority will be given to doctor-patient communication, psychological aspects, vaccination status and patient self-management using a paper-based questionnaire for patients and doctors.
Why should you participate?
- You create awareness of the need for vaccinations among vulnerable patients (reminder function for practice team & patients)
- You create the basis for patient-centered communication in the practice
- For every 100 patient questionnaires returned, we donate €300 to "UNICEF emergency aid for children from Ukraine"
- You will receive a small expense allowance
- You will learn how to conduct research in GP practices
Brief description of the procedure
