Rural doctor quota

Since the 2020/21 winter semester, medical students have been able to complete their medical studies as part of the rural doctor quota.
The rural doctor quota is an offer to those who have a particular interest in working as a GP in rural areas. They undertake to work as GPs for at least ten years in areas where there is or is likely to be a shortage of doctors.
In this way, the students of the rural doctor quota make an important contribution to ensuring comprehensive, local GP care throughout Bavaria.
The Institute of General Practice at LMU offers extracurricular seminars for LAQ students in cooperation with our sister institute at TUM.
