KWAB Mentoring
As part of the Bavarian Competence Center for Advanced Training in General Practice (KWAB), a mentoring module is offered for doctors in advanced training (AiW) to support individual advanced training. This program offers the opportunity to exchange ideas with both experienced GPs and other AiWs.
Individual mentoring sessions are offered as part of the program. Experienced and trained general practitioners act as mentors and accompany the AiWs throughout their training. Thanks to their extensive experience, they provide support not only in technical matters, but also in the development of their professional attitude and professional identity.
The mentoring partnership is free of charge for both parties, but registration with KWAB is required.
The mentoring pairs organize the meetings and contacts according to their ideas and needs; we recommend 3-4 contacts/year. A mentoring relationship is intended for the duration of the training, but can be terminated unilaterally at any time if desired. The mentors receive a small expense allowance.
In addition to the individual exchange, we offer a networking meeting of all mentoring pairs regionally (North/South Bavaria) in presence every fall.
If you are interested, you can register via the KWAB website.
