Welcome to General Medicine. We would like to give you a brief overview of our subject:

General Medicine course (Module 23, 7th clinical semester)

The lecture takes place every Wednesday from 14:00 to 15:30 as an interactive Zoom format.

The seminar takes place every Wednesday from 16:30 to 18:00. The seminar is a compulsory course and is graded.

The written exam takes place at the end of the semester and is a written attendance exam with 40 multiple choice questions.

The grade for the General Medicine course is made up of the combination of the written exam grade (60%) and the seminar grade (40%).

Block internship in general medicine (Module 6, from the 8th clinical semester)

The block internship comprises an introductory day at the university, the two-week internship in a teaching practice at LMU and a personal 10-minute telephone call with a member of the institute's medical staff.

The introductory day takes place twice per semester on the first day of the semester or vacation. It takes place in presence on university premises and is a compulsory event.

The block internship can be completed after the introductory day, either during the entire semester or the entire semester break. The internship is a compulsory course and is graded.

The personal telephone call takes place after the block internship. The content of a patient epicrisis created by the student is discussed and assessed.

The grade for the block internship corresponds to the internship grade.
