Seminar General Medicine

The General Medicine seminar takes place in the 7th clinical semester on Wednesdays from 16:30 to 18:00 after the main lecture and is supervised by our experienced and committed teaching physicians as seminar leaders.

In the General Medicine seminar, we would like to provide you with basic specialist knowledge and practical procedures in outpatient GP care in a clear and practical way.

Under the moderation and expertise of your seminar leader, you will work on important differential diagnoses and the further procedure in practice on around half of the seminar dates using typical leading symptoms. The other half of the seminar dates will be reserved for a vivid consolidation of knowledge based on patient presentations, discussion of the most important guidelines in medical practice and evidence-based medicine in general practice.

Your seminar performance is graded by your seminar leader and accounts for 40% of the overall grade in general practice - the remaining 60% is the exam grade.

You will receive your group allocation by email from us at the beginning of the semester.
