After Jochen Gensichen and Linda Sanftenberg visited the Zhejiang University of Hangzhou, China last summer, we are now pleased to welcome the second guest researcher from the working group of Prof. Hongmei Wang (Public Health and Social Medicine). Ms. Yiqing Weng will be a guest at the Institute of General Medicine from 03.11.25-14.11.25 and will investigate the willingness of hospital staff to be vaccinated against seasonal influenza. We will have the opportunity to compare data from the Robert Koch Institute (OKAPII survey) with Chinese data from a survey conducted in 2024/25 in order to derive suitable recommendations. Furthermore, Ms. Weng will get to know German primary care from different perspectives: In addition to a visit to the emergency room of the LMU Hospital, the program includes visits to a family doctor's practice, the Institute for Tropical and Travel Medicine at the LMU and the Center for Advanced Studies.
