Suicide prevention in primary care SuPr-X - Development of a short questionnaire

-
The SuPr-X study is a prospective study and is being conducted by the Institute of General Medicine at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) Hospital in Munich. The study is part of the POKAL Graduate College and is financially supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG-GRK 2621 POKAL "Predictors and clinical outcomes of depressive disorders in primary care"). Piloting of the questionnaire on suicide prevention in primary care began in July 2022. The new instrument is now being validated with patients with depressive symptoms or suicidal thoughts in many cooperating GP practices in Germany. All adult patients (m/f/d) with depressive symptoms and/or suicidal tendencies can be included in the study. There does not have to be a confirmed diagnosis of depression. From 2023, the study will start its second run in order to develop and re-validate a short version based on the pilot data. Participation in the study or cooperation is possible at any time and throughout Germany. The study is expected to run until spring 2024. Please contact us for a study cooperation.
