Head: Prof. Dr. med. Peter Zwanzger
Prof. Zwanzger's main areas of research include the development and treatment of anxiety disorders and depressive disorders, psychopharmacology, mechanisms of action of psychotherapy and neurostimulation (TMS, ECT) procedures. He is also involved in research projects investigating the specific role of digital interventions and the potential of virtual reality. Prof. Zwanzger is the author of over 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers, book contributions, and project leader of numerous local and national research projects. He has received research funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and internal university funding institutions.
