Course content

The online course "Comprehensive approach to Occupational Safety and Health" consists of asynchronous interactive online sessions on the following topics:


  1. Introduction to occupational safety and health
  2. Relevance of occupational health for public health
  3. Occupational Safety and Health promotion
  4. Risks and Hazards
  5. Monitoring in occupational safety and health

Learning objectives:

At the end of the course the participants will be able to:


  • Define the concept of occupational health, according to WHO
  • Identify at least two of the main objectives of occupational health, as defined by WHO
  • Identify at least six factors that determine the health of workers
  • Recognize the relevance of occupational safety and health in the field of public health
  • Outline general information about the occupational safety and health system in their home country
