Representing the Institute of Infections Diseases and Tropical Medicine at LMU Hospital Munich, Christoph Sticha-Kaiser and the working group led by PD Dr. Noemi Castelletti are part of the organizing committee and are delighted to invite you to the next Annual Meeting of the Modeling Network for Severe Infectious Diseases (MONID):
The 4th (Inter-) National Conference on Infectious Disease Modeling 2026 will take place from May 20 to 22, 2026 at the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina in Halle (Saale).
In addition, there will be a Pre-conference workshop on May 19, 2026.
The conference marks the beginning of the 2nd MONID funding phase. In parallel sessions and mini-symposia on various focus topics, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with renowned experts in the field of mathematical modeling of severe infectious diseases and related disciplines on the latest findings in these fields.
Elevator pitches and poster sessions are just as much a part of the conference program as numerous networking opportunities.
The organizers are very pleased to welcome you to the 4th Annual MONID Conference and to work together on the global epidemiological challenges.
The Modeling Network for Severe Infectious Diseases is a research network funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR, formerly BMBF) consisting of ten research networks, three of which are associated, and a superordinate coordination office, which was launched in May 2022.
The conference language is English.
