Suicide prevention in primary care SuPr-X - Development of a short questionnaire
Overview
The SuPr-X study is a prospective study and is led by the Institute of General Practice and Family Medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Hospital in Munich. The study takes place within the framework of the POKAL graduate college and is financially supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG-GRK 2621 POKAL "PrädiktOren und Klinische Ergebnisse bei depressiven ErkrAnkungen in der hausärztLichen Versorgung"). The piloting of the questionnaire for suicide prevention in primary care started in July 2022. In many cooperating GP practices in Germany, the new instrument is now being validated in patients with depressive symptoms or suicidal thoughts. All adult patients (m/f/d) with depressive symptoms and/or suicidal tendencies can be included in the study. There is no need for a confirmed diagnosis of depression. From 2023, the study will start its second run in order to develop a short version based on the pilot data and to validate it again. Participation in the study or cooperation is possible at any time and throughout Germany. The study is expected to run until spring 2024. Please contact us for a study cooperation.
