The Neuroimaging Core Unit Munich (NICUM) is an integrative and transdisciplinary research facility of the Munich Center for Neurosciences, the Department of Psychology, the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, and the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy of the University Hospital Munich. The establishment of the laboratory in 2019 was made possible by funding from the DFG and LMU Munich. The NICUM has a 3 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner including the associated measurement, technical, control and staff rooms, two behavioral laboratories as well as MR-compatible eye tracking, EEG, TMS systems including video and sound stimulation and feedback keys. With these, we study the brains of children and adolescents to learn more about brain development and effects of neurotrauma.
